About legal technology events

Legal technology events have become the busiest corner of the UK legal conference calendar. Artificial intelligence, case management software, document automation and client portals now sit at the centre of how firms win work, price it and deliver it, and the events market has grown to match.

Legal AI dominates the programmes. Expect sessions on generative AI in drafting and disclosure review, on the supervision and verification processes firms need around it, and on the professional risk that arrives when unchecked output reaches a court. The best legal tech conferences are candid about failure as well as promise: hallucinated citations, stalled implementations and pilots that never made it past one enthusiastic partner are all part of the conversation now.

Case management and practice management software remains the practical heart of the market. Choosing a system, migrating to it and getting fee earners to use it properly is often a multi-year project with direct consequences for lock-up, compliance and client experience. Legal technology exhibitions give you the rare chance to see several systems demonstrated in a single day and to talk to firms already running them, which is worth far more than a vendor deck.

Data and analytics have their own track at most events. Business intelligence dashboards, matter profitability reporting and live work-in-progress data let firms see where money is actually made and lost. Firms that measure realisation, write-offs and fee earner capacity make sharper pricing and recruitment decisions than those waiting for the annual accounts, and legal data sessions are increasingly aimed at finance directors as much as at IT.

Cyber security runs alongside all of it. Law firms hold client money and highly sensitive information, which makes them a standing target for phishing and payment diversion fraud. Legal tech conferences now routinely include incident response planning, supplier due diligence and the practical side of data protection obligations.

The UK legal technology events calendar includes large exhibitions in London and Manchester, focused AI summits, online supplier showcases and smaller invitation-only gatherings for innovation and IT leads. Many are free to attend for law firm delegates because suppliers fund the event, so the cost is usually your time rather than a ticket price. Online and hybrid formats are common, which suits firms outside the major cities.

Whether you are a managing partner deciding where to invest, an IT lead planning a migration, or a supplier looking for the right audience, our diary lists upcoming legal technology events across England and Wales with dates, locations, attendance mode and organiser details. Listings are free, and we add new events as soon as dates are confirmed.
