About property & private client events

Property and private client events cover two of the busiest volume practice areas in England and Wales, and the two where process quality and risk management matter most to a firm's profitability.

Conveyancing conferences deal with the practical mechanics of residential and commercial property work: title problems, Land Registry practice and requisitions, leasehold reform, building safety obligations, searches, digital identity checks and the drive towards a faster, more data-driven transaction. Fraud sits over all of it — property is where payment diversion and identity fraud hit law firms hardest, and every serious conveyancing event now devotes time to it.

The economics of conveyancing get equal attention. Fixed fees, referral arrangements, panel membership, case volumes and the cost of professional indemnity cover for property work all shape whether a department makes money. Sessions on process automation, case management workflow and client communication are common because the firms that handle volume profitably are usually the ones that have industrialised the routine parts of the file.

Private client events run in parallel and often attract the same firms. Programmes cover wills, probate practice, estate administration, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection work, inheritance tax and the rising volume of contentious probate. Demand for private client advice is growing as wealth passes between generations, and the practice area has become a genuine growth opportunity for firms that can staff it.

International and cross-border private client work has its own specialist conferences, covering succession across jurisdictions, offshore structures, domicile and residence, and family wealth planning for internationally mobile clients. These tend to be larger, multi-day events in London with an international delegate list.

Awards evenings and sector celebrations increasingly come attached to a daytime conference, which makes them a reasonable use of a full day rather than just an evening out. They are also among the better networking opportunities for conveyancing and property firms looking to build referral relationships or meet search providers, indemnity insurers and technology suppliers.

Most property and private client events in the diary are one-day in-person conferences in London and the major regional cities, priced from around a hundred pounds upwards, with CPD value for practitioners. Some are run by professional bodies, others by commercial conference organisers or specialist training providers.

Our diary lists upcoming property, conveyancing and private client events across England and Wales with dates, venues, attendance mode, organiser and price notes where they have been published. Listings are free and impartial, and we add new dates as soon as they are confirmed.
